COLIN ELLIOT
PRODUCER / COMPOSER / MIXER / ENGINEER
Colin Elliot began his illustrious music career coming from an orchestral background, which later led to him making the move into popular music in his teens. A multi-instrumentalist; Colin plays the cello, piano, electric and double bass, percussion, guitar and also sings backing vocals.
In 1997, he started Yellow Arch – a recording studio and rehearsal room complex based in Sheffield which now supports over 50 bands per week, and where he continues to work today.
As a well known session player, Colin has played on records by Boy George, Finlay Quaye, Take That (including the number one “Everything Changes”), Del Amitri, Spice Girls, The Lighthouse Family, BB Mack, Longpigs, The All-seeing Eye and many more.
From there he went into engineering and finally producing, where has worked on album from Jarvis Cocker and more recently producing the Mecury prize nominated and gold selling album ‘Coles Corner’ from Richard Hawley who he has worked with since 1999, Richard's new album 'Ladys Bridge' and also the critically acclaimed self-titled album by A Girl Called Eddy.
He is also a composer and has scored music for two productions for the Vincent Dance theatre.
